Delonte West was arrested on gun charges yesterday after he was stopped after cutting off a police car on his Spyder motorcycle. He informed the officer he was armed; a 9mm Baretta in his waistband, a .357 strapped to his leg, and a shotgun in a guitar case he had slung over his shoulders. The Cavalier's now may be looking for another "shooting" guard.

A true icon has left us. Walter Cronkite has passed away at age 92. I grew up listening to him.

Cronkite was the face of the "CBS Evening News" from 1962 to 1981, when stories ranged from the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. to racial and anti-war riots, Watergate and the Iranian hostage crisis.

It was the fall of 1986. Stand by Me was the number one movie in America. Family Ties and The Cosby show were hot shows on the tube. Stephen King releases "It", his most terrifying novel to date. I was, and still am somewhat, a huge fan of Stephen King's works. But "It" was the first King novel I didn't finish. In fact, I don't really think I made it very far into the novel. I'm still not sure why. I've picked it up again and I'm determined to finish it this time around.

A Couple of Goodbyes

A couple of goodbyes are in order. Former All-Star pitcher Mark “the Bird” Fidrych was found dead Monday in an apparent accident at his farm. He was 54.
Marilyn Chambers was found dead at her home on Sunday. She was 57. Bother were pretty talented entertainers. Mark for his pitching, Marilyn for her catching.
So long, we'll miss ya!!

Opening up your email everyday is exciting, isn't it? You never know what awaits you. Just today, I received a letter from Barrister John Heath, attorney at law.
Barrister John lives in Penang. Where the hell is that, you may ask. I did. Sounds like Viet Nam, but it's Malaysia. Supposedly some client of his kicked off, leaving a large
amount of money in a bank. By large, I mean, 18 million large. According to Barrister John, the money will be lost forever if he doesn't find some next of kin to claim the money.
So, Barrister John has a proposition for me. Here it is:

"My proposition to you is to seek your consent to present you as the next-of-kin and beneficiary of my named client, so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you. Then we can share the amount on a mutually agreed-upon percentage.

All legal documents to back up your claim as my client's next-of-kin will be provided. All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us see this transaction through.

This will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from many breach of the law. If this business proposition offends your moral values, do accept my apology. "
